Use to quantify repeatability

Logistic Regression:

20 specimens which uniformly span a band around one specification limit.

Limitation:

Requires statistical software.

Receive an estimate of repeatability (within measurement system variation). Convert to the PV/TV ratio, the % repeatability to process or the % repeatability to tolerance (USL-LSL).

Use to quantify producer and consumer risk

2x2 Matrix:

Select 20 specimens:
50% good, 50% bad, according to the expert. Ensure a mix of defects/errors if possible. Pass through the measurement system and assess both consumer and producer risks.

Any failure indicates a meassurement system in need of improvement.
